Another great night for shooting last night although the black flies have made another appearance. The Black Falcon (Randy) seemed to have angered them by swallowing one of their brethren whereupon they increased their angry attacks on all competitors. It was not enough to deter the 6 shooters who turned up for last night’s match. As it turns out 5 of the shooters were black badge shooters so we have a sanctioned IPSC match and our scores are posted to the IPSC Ontario website along with the two classifiers Dale selected for us. The first classifier was 9 shots minimum with one popper and 4 paper. Second was only 6 shots but strong hand only. No brain farts and none of the competitors received procedurals for using an extra hand. We are getting better! The final stage was 31 shots with 5 poppers and a lucky 13 paper. 20 to 30 seconds fo very fast running and gunning. Only casualty was Henry’s gun which jammed up solid before he made it down the runway. All in all a great match which was fun to shoot. We also welcomed an old friend back to the match, Mike Matthews who impressed us all by shooting all A’s in the 31 round stage. I look forward to what awaits us next Wednesday.
One of us needs to remember to pull out our cameras again so we can share pictures of the event.
Scores for the event and the stage designs are linked below as well as listed on the action shooting scores page:
