The action shooting group of Algoma Rod and Gun Club held their all steel match this past Saturday, August 22nd. It would appear that the second last weekend in August was not the greatest choice as many of our members were not able to make it and only one member from another club was able to attend. This is the height of holiday season for those in the north and it is taken seriously. The 5 people who did attend had a great time shooting the 6 stages of steel poppers, plates, silhouettes, the duelling tree and the Texas star. It was a beautiful day for a shoot and although the round count was only 90 considerably more shots were needed by most. Bud was the victor with not even having the star spinning to start impeding his victory. Congratulations! Thanks to Dennis Venturi who made it down from the Crean Hill club. He was the only one shooting iron sights and made a very descent showing. After the match the 5 participants made their way over to Wacky Wings for a late lunch and refreshments.
The scores and the photos of the event are included below.
