Six members from the action shooting section made it out to the mini match on Wednesday, September 9th for three courses of fire in our two ranges. Dale designed three great stages but even his careful planning did not help him beat Bud for top spot. Although Bud uses his cane for walking, when it comes to competition, the cane is long forgotten. There is always next week! Links to the scores and the course of fire and some pictures are included below.
The match also highlighted how quickly darkness come to the ranges these days and we are going to have to make some adjustments to accommodate. Starting this week we are going to start designing the stages so that they are all set up in one range. This will reduce our setup time as well as the time to transition from one range to another. I am also going to try and get to the ranges by 5:30 on Wednesday’s to start the set up. Try to get shooting by 6:3o at the latest. This combination should get us finished by 8:00 while the sun is still out. We will still have over 40 round counts and will ensure we have fun designs given the limited space. Course layout will determine which range we choose.
See you Monday for Practice and Wednesday for our next match.
