Ten people showed up for our Wednesday Night Mini Match this week which is the largest group in a few months. Was great to See Dennis and Darlene come out from Sudbury who were in town enjoying their new RV at KOA and made it to both the practice on Monday and the match on Wednesday. The numbers made it a bit of a rush to get through the match but it really helped the setup and take down.
As always we had 3 courses of fire. The first stage (actually stage 2) was the stage we practiced on Monday night. Three targets, two no shoots, two strings. Start with free hand, two shots each, mandatory reload, then strong hand two shots each. Second string was same again but week hand for a total of 24 rounds. Second stage was the classifier with a long 20 yard shot at three targets two of which had 2/3rds marked as hard cover. This proved difficult as many zeroed this stage. Final stage was a combination of 10 paper targets with 4 poppers hidden behind barrels causing lots of movement. Another great course designed by Dale. This is the course shown in the picture above. Scores and course of fire are pictured below.
For those that missed them, here is the link to videos of the steel stage that three of our members shot in Houghton Lake this past weekend.
