The OAA 10 Ring Championship is held from the Saturday of the 2nd last weekend of February to the Sunday of the last weekend of February. Algoma Rod and Gun Club is participating in this event holding the event on Sunday, February 21st.
The 10-ring target championship is an indoor FITA tournament and is the standard format for the Canadian National Indoor Championships and all World Indoor Championships. The tournament follows standard FITA rules using a 10-ring 40cm target ( 60 cm for Cub and Pre-cub Recurve) with two rings each of Gold, Red, Blue, Black and White and everyone shooting from 18M. Consistent archers may choose to use a vertical 3 spot to avoid breaking arrows and nocks.
The fee to shoot at Algoma is $20 for youth (20 and under) and $25 for adults. $15 for non OAA members. 9:00 AM registration 10:00 to 10:45 practice and shooting for score at 11:00. Break around noon or 12:30 for lunch which will be provided then shoot the second half.
