Plans for the ARGC Family Day Event are coming together and all members are encouraged to come out with their families to enjoy a day of fun events and fellowship with fellow members next Sunday afternoon.
The event will start off with a Buddy Trap Shoot starting at 12:00 noon. In this game there are five teams of two. The “buddy’s” take turns pulling the target, if the buddy who pulls the target misses it the second buddy is there to back up the first one to try and hit the target. Every time they shoot the buddys take turns pulling the target. But if the first buddy hits it and the second buddy does as well then there are no points given to them. where pairs of shooters will team up to shoot a round of trap. Looking for interested shooters to come early with their partners.
We will also start serving a lunch of chili and hotdogs at the same time.
Right after the buddy shoot, other fun only events will begin including a chance to try trap, archery, .22 rifle and .22 hand guns. We will also have a bonfire going at the back of the pin pit together with hot chocolate and marshmallows for toasting. That will also be the start of a snow machine trail rid through the back of the club property. A fun experience for young and old.
Events will run until 4:00 or 5:00 PM depending on attendance. The fee is only $10 for adults with children under 16 for free.
We are still looking for a few volunteers to help run some of the functions so if you have time and interest, please contact mark donner (mark@donner.com) or Barry Sparrow (barrysparrow@shaw.ca) Looking for people to supervise the bonfire, help in the kitchen and a few other items.
Final planning will take place on Tuesday evening during and after the Bullseye shooting in the upstairs great room at the club. If you have volunteered or wish to help out, you are invited to attend at 7:30 PM.
